REALTOR® MEMBERSHIP
Qualifications
- Must be engaged actively in the real estate profession
- Must maintain or be associated with an established real estate office in the state of Indiana or a state contiguous
- Must be associated either as an employee or independent contractor with a Designated REALTOR® Member of BBOR
- Must maintain a current, valid real estate broker’s or salesperson’s license or is licensed or certified by a state regulatory agency to engage in the appraisal of real property.
- Must complete a course of instruction and agree to abide by the Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, and the Code of Ethics of the Bloomington Board of REALTORS®, the Indiana Association of REALTORS®, and the National Association of REALTORS®

Application Process

- Complete and submit a REALTOR® Membership Application, with a copy of driver’s license, and optional lockbox service agreement.
- Applicants will be invoiced for the application fee and annual dues to be paid online.
- Members will be sent an email with instructions to access the following services:
- BBOR New Member Orientation
- National REALTOR® Database System (NRDS) and Code of Ethics training
- Rapattoni: membership database, event registration, and online accounting services
- Homefinder: email account and intranet
- Paragon MLS: orientation and access to the Indiana Regional MLS
- Forewarn: app offering you safer showings and smarter engagement
- Supra: app for eKEY system, as well as physical lockboxes
MLS Only Subscriber Membership

- Must supply a Letter of Good Standing from Primary Board

- Monthly fees will be charged to the Designated REALTOR® firm.
AFFILIATE MEMBERSHIP
Qualifications
- Must offer products or services related to real estate sales yet not in competition with REALTORS®.
- Must offer products or services that are in sympathy with the objectives of the Bloomington Board of REALTORS® .
- Must offer products or services that are an integral part of fulfilling the real estate purchase agreement or contingencies in real estate transactions.
- Affiliate members shall have rights and privileges and be subject to obligations prescribed by the Bloomington Board of REALTORS®.
Benefits
- Networking – Invitations to attend General Membership Meetings (including two free lunches per firm), join BBOR committees, and attend special events. Affiliates are also able to send and receive business related emails to REALTOR® members.
- Advertising – Affiliate members are listed on the REALTOR® and consumer roster of the Bloomington MLS, Inc., and have the option to participate in the online ad program of BBOR’s consumer-facing website pages.
- Sponsorship – Opportunities to sponsor educational programs and special events, including New Member Orientation and BBOR’s Annual Golf Scramble.

- Complete and submit an Affiliate Membership Application
- Affiliate applications must be reviewed and approved by the Bloomington Board of REALTORS® Board of Directors.
- Following approval, payments of prorated dues for the entire year are to be paid.
Designated REALTOR® (DR)
Each firm must designate one REALTOR® Member to serve as the responsible member for all duties and obligations of membership, including Code of Ethics and payment of dues.
Secondary Membership
REALTORS® who hold primary membership with another board and wish to join BBOR must pay the BBOR application fee and local membership dues. If the primary board is not in Indiana, the IAR application fee and membership dues must also be paid. NAR dues are paid through the primary board. MLS monthly charges will apply, as well as optional Supra services. A letter of good standing must be provided from the member’s primary board.
Administrative Staff
Each office firm can request a limited number of clerical staff who have access to the MLS. This includes secretaries who are employed by a Designated REALTOR® and provide services on behalf of the entire office, and/or personal assistants who work for an agent or team within an office.
Non-Member Salesperson (NMSP)
An individual with an active real estate license, who is not a REALTOR®, but works in a salesperson capacity for a Designated REALTOR®.
